Of Hillbilly Headhunters fame: Irrefutable. Undisputable. Shake-your-boot-able. Rock'n'roll, baby: The HME has rejuvenated a time-honoured style of music, made their mark as a killer live act and released some legendary CDs. Currently the HILLBILLY MOON EXPLOSION are off to Southern California to record their next album with that wacky wizard of sound Mark Neill (producer of The Old 97s, Los Straitjackets, The Paladins et al.) at Soil of the South Studios. Expect more of the trademark HILLBILLY MOON EXPLOSION brand of alternative rock'n'roll: Garage punk meets hokum blues. Bardot ye-ye meets Burnette rockabilly. Slap bass, tape echo, spring reverb.
